Job Title: Technical Services Engine Officer

Job Purpose
Engine Officers are responsible for assisting the Engines Supervisor in organising the initial induction of the engine records, and for ensuring there is sufficient back to birth content to be able to produce the correct documents for use by the Engine Centre Maintenance Manager and Engine Planner for initial planning of Maintenance and / or use of components.
This is a pivotal role in contributing to and safeguarding the overall safety and reliability of engine airworthiness and operations.
Key Responsibilities
The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive (see ‘Other Duties’ below).
• Record-keeping and documentation control: Under the Engines Supervisor oversight, maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes following proper documentation control processes such as ensuring technical records are kept: up to date, organised, categorised and retained or disposed of as appropriate. Follow proper archiving processes to ensure the security and integrity of archived records. Ensure the easy retrieval and accessibility of records when needed.
• As instructed by the Engines Supervisor, the Engines officer will prepare an initial document folder for the engine records received, prepare AD statements, LLP statements, Records to the Operator documents folder and any other documents required by the Owner / Operator.
• Provide support to the engine planning officer, as directed by the Engines Supervisor, by providing information on the engines condition, life cycles and hours, and other requirements to ensure the engine’s continued airworthiness.
• Actively participate in the improvement of CAMO processes and procedures related to engine records. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency, and effective record-keeping.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements related to engine records.
Other Duties
• As directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager and as considered necessary to meet the day-to-day, ongoing requirements of the business.
• Deputise as directed for the department supervisor during absence.
• The Technical Service Engine Officer must remain up-to-date with evolving aviation regulations and industry standards to enhance safety protocols and ensure compliance in the collation and management of aircraft records in accordance with the requirements of Part-CAMO, Part-M, and the Organisation’s CAME.

CRITERIA
Experience
• Prior experience in aviation and a solid understanding of aviation regulations and industry standards as well as aircraft maintenance procedures and documentation.
Knowledge and Skills
• Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Competencies / Personal Characteristics
• Good communication skills are essential for the Engine’s Officer to effectively collaborate with the Engine’s Supervisor and other departments.
• Organisation skills and the ability to multi task several projects.
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to plan, multitask and prioritise work load effectively.
• Ability to work to a tight deadline.
• A passion for ensuring the highest standards or airworthiness and safety.
• Input into the improvement and development of the Technical Services Engine Department.
